For those of you interested in Energy Savings, you might want to try to attend this event tomorrow:
PLEASE POST, CIRCULATE AND COME....
Please join community leaders, concerned citizens, and state wide activists at the
ENERGY EMPOWERMENT REVOLUTION RALLY
Date: Tuesday, November 25th Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Place: Faneuil Hall, Boston, Massachusetts
This event will be presenting the common links between the need for good jobs, warm homes, energy efficiency, public health, reduced climate impact, and concerns for low and middle income people. At a time of unstable energy prices, economic recession and the growing climate crisis there is a need for urgent investment in weatherization and energy efficiency to help families and businesses in Massachusetts.
Admission is free! If you are interested sharing information or distributing literature, or you would like to learn more about the event, contact Lilah Glick at lglick@cleanwater.org or call 617-338-8131 ext. 20 or Robert Massie at rkmassie@rcn.com

Thanks for the informative article! I'd read something about this new regulation in the WSJ a while back but it didn't really sink in.
I will be contacting you to assess my systems. I'm particularly concerned about my back ups!

Sounds logical to me! What about having spares around for critical computers? The problem with that is that those critical computers are usually the ones for the power users. Plus they usually have unique software with a limited number of licenses available. Maybe a Power PC in the server room and an available "dumb terminal" laptop to access it through Terminal Server or a Web-x session?
